Beautiful property. Enjoyed walking the trails and view from our room over the forest. High ceiling and window design, so light was great. Slippers. Excellent dinner and service. Our server Brenda was professional, friendly and customer focused. Really appreciated her honesty about my first choice (risotto) and changed it to the delicious Salmon.. Chef very creative- lamb chops with portobello..yum. Peaceful atmosphere. All staff very friendly.

Facial and massage were both amazing. Room service and restaurant meals were beyond expectations. Just amazing! The room was beautiful and clean. Antique look and original. I had the sparkling wine and cheese package and both were set up in my fridge for when I arrived with a little note and I was able to settle in and feel pampered right away. The dining room staff was so friendly for dinner. Amazing service throughout the entire stay. I couldn't believe how accommodating everyone was and will be back.

Breakfast offered a good selection of options. Sunday there were fewer choices than on Saturday. Reception desk staff were very helpful and several times went out of their way to bring us coffee refills or a new machine or plates and cutlery for eating take-out food in our room.

I was very much enjoyed my stay the only negative was I purchased the Oxford cheese trail package on line and it indicated it was to include a complimentary bottle of wine and cheese tray but it was not provided. When I asked the front desk staff about it , I was told because I made my reservation through booking.com it was not included. No where in the reservation as far as I could See did it suggest that was the case. A little disappointing, it would of been a nice touch.

Very friendly helpful staff, clean comfortable room, delicious meals in a lovely old mansion, with nice grounds near river. Spa was a treat. great access off main highway.

We stopped here because of an impending icestorm. We could'nt have found a better place. Friendly staff, excellent food, very comfortable beds a great show of consignment photographs and art work. A very elegant place. reminded us of places we used to go to in Yorkshire England that were of the same vintage.
